Israeli startup Wix, which offers its users a free website building platform, has started offering Google apps to its clients – a result of cooperation with the web giant. Wix has approximately 33 million users, which can now enjoy a two-click install of apps by Google, such as Gmail.
Israeli company Wix Inc., which offers a free website building platform that requires no programming knowledge, is planning an IPO on Wall Street at a company value of $300 million. News agency Bloomberg reports that the Israeli company will seek around $75 million. The company, founded in 2006, has raised $66 million to date.
Israeli website building company Wix today launched a new website builder which supports HTML5. The platform enables users to create websites with full control over their design, template and layout. According to Wix, while the company’s classic Flash-based platform offers advantages for PC users, the new HTML5 product allows for website, tablet, Facebook fan page or mobile-friendly web design available on any device. Wix, founded in 2006, is headquartered in Tel Aviv, with offices in San Francisco, New-York and Dnepropetrovsk, Russia.
